About convex mirrors

Back to convex mirrors

Convex mirrors have been popular for many centuries.

Van Eyck's painting of the Marriage of Arnolfino, dated 1434, depicts one of the earliest recorded convex mirrors.

Convex mirrors are often called Butlers or Fish-eye mirrors. This is because their traditional use was to allow the butler to see into a room without entering and interrupting his master.

Our convex mirrors are based on traditional designs from the 18th century and are available in gold or silver finishes.
